BEHIND THE SCENES: THE MAKING OF SUMMER SILVER

This is the way every SunLit collection begins.

Sunlight: INSPIRATION

water on rocks

The light falling on stone, sand, sea. Forming shapes, casting shadows.

Collecting inspiration through travels is an integral part of my creative process and the quality of sunlight, its play on pattern, shape, and color, is at the heart of what I see and interpret into my jewelry designs.

Sketchbook: DESIGN

Sketches fill notebooks, calculations are made, materials summoned.

Studio: PROCESS

hammer and silver metal jewelry being made

Tools both ancient and modern fashion these things into objects of adornment.

I’m a visual artist turned jewelry maker, and I’ve been creating handmade fine jewelry for over 20 years. I sculpt and texture each piece by hand in my New York City studio.

Slowly, lovingly.
